Stuart Tyler
Chief Legal Officer & DirectorStuart is both a solicitor of England and Wales and an Advocate of the Guernsey Bar. As Paratus’ general legal counsel, he also serves as a director for its licensed insurance entities and holding company, with responsibility for overseeing commercial agreements and governance frameworks.
After spending 16 years primarily in private practice in London, Stuart moved to Guernsey in 2006, where he requalified as a Guernsey Advocate. He led the Corporate Department at a local law firm before advancing to Head Partner of the Corporate Department at Appleby’s Guernsey office. His expertise covers a broad spectrum of financial services and corporate law, with a focus on financial services regulation, private investment structures, mergers and acquisitions, and general commercial matters. Additionally, Stuart sits on the boards of several regulated companies.
Stuart was educated at Maidstone Grammar School and Brasenose College, Oxford, where he studied Jurisprudence.
