Giles Agutter

Giles is the owner and CEO of Southern Sky Ltd, a consultancy firm offering advice to the aviation industry, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways.

He has worked within the industry for over 25 years, including over 24 years as an advisor to the GCEO of Qatar Airways, driving the company’s growth from seven aircraft to the airline we know today, regularly voted the world’s best airline. He had a particular focus on fleet acquisition, financing, and strategy, including strategic investments such as International Airlines Group, LATAM Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JSX Airlines and China Southern, along with several other investments. During this time, Giles negotiated over US$100 billion in aircraft purchases as well as over US$75 billion in financing. He has served on the Board of Directors of International Airlines Group, LATAM Airlines, JSX Airlines and Air Italy.

Giles holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester.
