Alistair Vere Nicoll

Renewable Power

Alastair is an adviser to Paratus for renewable energy, believing keenly that generators, asset owners and financiers of clean energy projects require solutions to help manage risk and gain upside exposure to market pricing.

Alastair started his career as a private equity lawyer at the international law firm Freshfields. He later founded Berkeley Energy, a business focussed on developing, constructing, owning and operating renewable energy assets in emerging markets, giving him hands-on experience in all the stages of a renewable energy project. He is currently an adviser to several businesses specialising in the energy transition or renewables space.

Alastair holds a First-Class degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, as well as postgraduate law diploma from the College of Law with a distinction in business. In 2004/5, he completed a traverse of the continent of Antarctica by kite and ski.
