Adele Gale
Guernsey Non-Executive DirectorAdele is the Deputy Managing Director of Paratus’ Insurance Manager in Guernsey and sits on the Board of Paratus Maritime Insurance Limited. She also serves as Chairman of the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) and is a member of the Council of the Guernsey International Business Association (GIBA). Adele also on the boards of several of her clients.
Adele qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the UK. She returned to Guernsey in 2009 and has since held senior roles in the insurance management industry at Aon, Artex, and Robus. She has played a key role in several industry firsts in Guernsey, including securing regulatory approval for Paratus entities, establishing the first catastrophe bond, the first rated catastrophe reinsurer, and the first captive-assisted buy-in transaction. As the Chief Risk Officer of Kelvin Re, Adele was the architect of the company’s enterprise risk management framework. She has worked closely with professionals in rating advisory, governance, modelling, capital actuarial, and compliance, as well as with various clients’ and investors’ operational, legal, and due diligence teams.
Adele co-authored Guernsey’s ESG Framework for Insurers and leads initiatives in student engagement, industry training, and the launch of the women’s network.
Adele is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds an honours degree in Economics and International Development from the University of Bath.
