Adele Gale
Managing Director and Head of Guernsey OperationsAdele is the Managing Director of Paratus Services Guernsey Ltd. and Head of Operations for the Paratus insurers. She also sits on the Board of Paratus Maritime Insurance Limited. Adele has previously held several Guernsey directorships as well as the position of Chief Risk Officer. Her expertise spans regulatory, corporate governance, company secretarial, treasury, accounting, and enterprise risk management. She has extensive experience in rating advisory, modelling, actuarial, and compliance. Adele co-authored Guernsey’s ESG Framework for Insurers in 2023.
She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the London Financial Services team auditing bancassurers, pensions, IFAs and hedge funds. Adele returned to Guernsey in 2009 and held senior roles in the insurance management industry at Aon, Artex and Robus/SRS. She has played a key role in several industry firsts in Guernsey, including securing regulatory approvals for the Paratus re-insurance entities, establishing the first catastrophe bond, the first rated catastrophe reinsurer, and the first pension de-risking structure through a captive-assisted buy-in transaction in November 2024. Adele serves on the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) Committee, having completed her term as Chairman in February 2025 and on the Sustainable Finance Group. She is the founder of and leads the Guernsey Women in International Insurance Network (WIIN), and leads GIIA’s Insuring the Future Event, an annual conference to engage local students and showcase career opportunities in the insurance industry.
Adele is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds an honours degree in Economics and International Development from the University of Bath.
