Joanna Ellis

Joanna Ellis is the Executive Director of Short-Term Trading, Origination and Regulation, and a member of the Paratus management team.

Joanna has extensive experience in physical commodities and energy markets. Prior to joining Paratus, she was Chief Commercial Officer at Nadara, Europe’s largest IPP, responsible for all revenues across the 4GW European portfolio. During this time, Joanna was also a member of the UK government’s Onshore Wind Taskforce, supporting delivery of the 2030 Clean Power mission. Prior to Nadara, she held senior origination roles across several utilities, focusing on PPA and offtake agreements for both renewable and flexible assets. She also held positions in short-term trading, where she set up two UK 24/7 trading desks.

Joanna holds a BA (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Southampton.
