Ahmad Ziade

Ahmad is a Senior Power Trader at Paratus, responsible for short- and medium-term power
and gas markets.

Ahmad has extensive experience in power markets, spanning trading, hedging and
origination, with earlier seats in coal, freight and gas portfolio optimisation. Prior to joining
Paratus, he spent over two years at Nuveen Clean Energy as Director of Power Hedging and
Origination. He previously held power trading roles at Shell and Uniper in Düsseldorf,
covering power, coal and freight. Ahmad began his career as a Power Market Modeller at
the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgart.

Ahmad holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of
Freiburg and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the American University of Beirut.
