Taraneh Azad

Taraneh is responsible for driving Paratus’ global origination performance and developing strategic business partnerships. She is an accomplished energy leader with over 20 years of experience in energy price risk management, having held senior roles in the commodities divisions of leading investment institutions, including Goldman Sachs (Managing Director), Morgan Stanley (Vice President), and Hartree (Head of Origination).

Prior to joining Paratus, Taraneh was Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner at Systemiq, a sustainability-focused advisory and investment firm.

She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Greencoat UK Wind plc and is a Senior Advisor to both Systemiq and the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA). Taraneh holds an MPhil from the University of Sussex and a BA from the University of Warwick.
